I just wanted everyone to know that there are new tips coming in daily. Do NOT be discouraged by all the madness over at AE. It will pass. It is a tool. I can tell you LE is looking all the time at both new and old POI's. The article, websites and shows have generated a great deal of publicity and it CANNOT be taken back, even by trolls! g

I was reading A&E as they were deleting the thread last night from Arch. In his "For the record" he states that he believes that GSK is dead because he's never interfered with the A&E board. Then this morning I read a new thread that states he believes that it's a hot case and it will be solved by DNA. I'm confused. Can anyone clarify what his opinion is? Am I hearing him say the case will be solved and the person we find is already dead?

Firstly, no one knows whether EAR/ONS is alive or dead. Secondly, no one knows whether he will be identified or not. Any opinions on either matter are just conjecture, which is fine.

Hey gskonstracker, I think he personally thinks GSK is dead but they will find out who he was. He doesn't know, nobody does. He just think it is probable. Larry Pool even said he might be dead, he might be in prison, he might have moved out of state, out of the country, or just changed his M.O. I hope the scumbag is alive but hope he's been miserable the whole time in solitary confinement in prison. Just my personal opinion.

Thank you Caligirl for your response. Does anyone know what Arch means by this statement posted earlier today on A&E?
He's such a tease...
"You'd be surprised about what they already know about the EAR/ONS. Some of it was leaked here and luckily, the information was removed. That information is being used to eliminate 1000's of suspects without even having to test their DNA."

That's interesting. I must have missed that. I wonder what was leaked?

Michelle McNamara's article mentioned that the FBI, who are taking another review of the case, have put an 85% chance that he is still alive.

I have always believed him still alive, keeping a low profile to not give anything away.

I think that the FBI's idea that there is an 85% chance of him still being alive, is mainly based on the chances of a man of that age still being alive (in general), with a few more personal factors thrown into the equation. I would not think that that indicates that they have any proof of him still being alive.

Seems like a totally generic statement that an actuarian would make. I feel ARCH's post, here specifically, and in general, are a bit condescending and calculating. He seems to be suggesting for us to "give up" because LE (finally) has it figured out. However, I'd like to believe that there's some more recent crimes they link GSK to that there able to do more modern forensics with.

Lepke,
A little over reactive about T&S's post. You can have an opinion. You can hate Arch. You can choose whatever you please. It's more the issue of bashing. But..w/o Arch NONE of us would be here! So I happen to hold Arch in high regard. Arch has done some tremendous work here. We are all human and likely have said some things we regret when in the midst of some heated battles. If you throw in the A/E board some of us may wish we never showed up here. All I hope for is some mutual respect and the FREEDOM to share my opinion.

well, sorry, didn't mean to troll on Arch. I just found that post, and some prior ones, slightly offputting.
I don't doubt his dedication to this case.

I'm not the slightest bit offended. I respect your right to have an opinion. I've just recently become concerned that some posts of late don't make many of us sound very responsible. The battle at A/E caused many of us to respond in a variety of ways..I just wanted to let new people know there's a lot more to Arch than his latest posts. No worries T&S. I didn't want to cause harm.

I continue to believe that there is a high probability that if he is alive the ear/ons because of his non-secretor status has type 1 diabetes and Crohn's disease. I am still trying to figure out how these illnesses can be used to identify him.
