I recall somewhere that EAR used a boat or a raft to traverse the American River. Does anyone have any info or reference on this subject?

if the criminal did such things and was still not caught, then shame on the local constabulary! I find it unbelieveable that the EAR of any ilk would do that. I do not think the EAR-A would do it period. He stayed above the river except in one La Riviera attack (where he probably used the Howe Bridge ) and the South Sac attack which was miles from the river. EAR-B might have used that footbridge but using a boat seems very reckless to me.

I specifically remember such a thing in print back then. and when I talked to Corky, I asked him that and he said he was pretty sure it was true. Item: that could answer the question as to was the older bridge still usuable.
What was in the paper was that someone who had a small boat tied up on the north side reported to SCSD that it had been disturbed on the night of an attack. IE, not tied up in the same manner as the owner had left it. This is about all they had to go on.
Looking at all the Rancho attacks and the location of the current William Pond bridge, it shouldn't be hard to figure it out. Still, just an interesting circumstance. Possibly just coincidental.

Hello, what kind of a stupid question is that?
Do you know who Corky is?

Nightdriver,
I can no longer search the A and E board on past topics. Were any of the ligatures used in Sac preserved as evidence? Who is Corky? (go ahead and jump down my throat- I'm not being lazy- I just can't access "advanced search" on the A and E board or I could look it up for myself).

Port: Corky was one of the guys that worked stakeout. He told me he was 25 feet behind him going over fences one night.
Guessting: Keep talking your crap, just try and stop me.

This thread is to discuss "row, row your boat." Take your personal crap elsewhere.
