Good Morning,
I am unable to get on the ae board again, until I am able will post this information here. Kona, Port and Arch, I have secured the photo we have been discussing. I am hopeful I will be able to post it today. In order to protect the identity of the individuals in the photo it will be a little later. Your copies will be coming via e-mail.
I was thinking; this is the only white german shepard I have ever seen. This one, none before or after.
Arch, please check your e-mail. I have very good news for you regarding my meeting with L yesterday. I am meeting again today and need something clarified. This is very good news and I know you will be pleased! ;D ;D ;D

looks like a shep/lab mix? No one can say it aint white. So when do we have the paw print? Was this dog in goleta? Who owned it? All the usual questions. Kona

Rover in the picture looks like a classic White German Shepherd. A relative of mine had such a dog in the 1970s and 80s named Fritzie.
Is someone claiming such a dog was seen in Sacramento now? I find it highly unlikely because it is very unlikely that the EAR perpetrator committed the Goleta crimes (as the local police also believe) because the crimes show a competency level and many other features different from Sacramento and unique to Goleta. There is often controversy about the dog but I know for certain it was at the third Goleta crime scene (at the time the police told the victim's relatives so).
Footprints and hair sheddings told LE the breed and the fact that it was missing a toe on one paw.
I think the Goleta Killer brought the dog with him as security after the failure of the first Goleta attack where he was chased. It was a foolhardy move not found in any attacks outside of Goleta. It was foolhardy because animals are noisy, unique at three am and prone to unpredictability. GK got away with it somehow. Must have been a lot of such dogs around Goleta in the early 1980s.

Yes jj, the dog this dog was photographed in Sacramento 78-79. Is it the infamous dog? That is being determined. Photos from the time frame are being compared to the children and man in the photo to determine an exact or close to date in which the photo was taken. The names are known of those photographed and the actual owner who resided at the house the photo was taken at. I am also aware of who took the photo. This case presents many angles, all of which at times can be confusing. We are hopeful by presenting certain things publicly that someone might recall the events around that time and make a contact. I used to think white German Shepards were rare but I don't really think they are. My brother-in-law recently owned 2 of them.

Hi Wintergirl,
I do not think they are as rare today. I do believe when this photo was taken they were considered rare. For me personally this is a rare dog. Like I said before, this is the only one I have personally seen, none before and none after. G
