I am very disappointed on the "new" Unsolved Mysteries show. It basically just is a repackaging of the old episodes with a new host. Many segments in update blurbs not only say a criminal was arrested, but that he is now out of prison as well (that's how old they are). So that the dated nature of the material is not noticed, they leave out dates. And many do not have updates when they should. For example the Roswell episode failed to mention an extensive Air Force investigation which disproved most of the points the segment made, an episode on an arson fire which killed a bunch of Kansas City firemen fails to mention that the people found guilty in the case are on the verge of being let free and getting a new trial, and a segment on the murder of a couple in CA gives the suspect, but fails to mention he has been sitting in a Boston jail for months under the name of Rockefeller (ie, the case is no longer unsolved).
In the Bedroom Killer case, only the Ventura murders and the one-time use of the diamond knot was mentioned on a previous UM segment (which was left off the "mysterious murders" DVD, by the way). I suspect the good info on the new UM website refers to an update segment of this spefic segment. Although I never saw the undated segment, I suspect it probably showed on the old Lifetime version of the show.

JJ,
Thanks for the heads up on the quality of the new Unsolved Mysteries. Quite a few are showing next week, but my guide doesn't give description information.
The thick(I assume muscular) legs at least give us a physical characteristic. Guessting's information about the abnormally small penis is also significant.

I tend to agree with JJ. Everything I saw on the website seemed to come right out of the Sacramento Magazine article. That is, except for the bit about smoking in the house and the thick white legs.
This is all we need, another media side show.
