Hi, im new to this board. was on the A&E board a couple of years ago, but it got weird as you all know. Anyway this is a great site full of alot of info. One thing I have been noticing, and forgive me if this has been thought of already, is that in almost all of the attacks are in the same neighborhood of a grocery store. In most cases its a Raleys. The first attacks are all behind the Raleys at Coloma and Folsom. The Del Dayo Attacks are a block away from Raleys on Arden and Fair Oaks. The later attacks are near different stores (Albertsons etc.) My point is how hard would it be to go to the store and grab a cart and wander around untill you found what you were shopping for and followed her home then proweled the area, maybe find a house for sale with a similar floor plan etc. I would be interested to know more about the attack in the Raleys parking lot (Oct 18 non rape/car jacking) How was this added?? it was a non rape. Did SSD ever look at the possibility that he was crusing grocery stores for victims??? I know they looked at a lot of different things like that. But everyone goes to a grocery store. I dont think he would have been an employee of the store, just an anonymous "shopper" Thoughts?

He lived near Raley's and regularly used it as an anonymous parking lot for trolling. He could have selected victims as they shopped and followed them home. Or he could have just parked his car in the Raley's lot to enter the neighborhood from there. How many times do you think he strolled from that shopping center heading up Paseo? Victims 1, 3, 6, 8, 15 , 18 and the Maggiores probably shopped at this Raley's. Go to JJ's google earth map and walk the line of victims from the shopping center up Paseo. jjmcgr.googlepages.com/googleearth Note that Patrice Harrington had also just returned from grocery shopping.

The Raley's in Carmichael on Fair Oaks and Walnut opened December 6, 1977. It would of been after the attacks in that area. The store of choice in that area would have been Belair at Arden and Eastern.

Number 8 may have always been mis-understood. It is a good example of the quality of intel that has been made public in this case.
The best guess right now is that this was one of the maybe two attacks in the first ten or so that was not successful. That was stated in a contemporary news article.
It's been stated that the victim was just visiting someone at an apartment complex up around the curve past St. John Vianney. And may have started in the parking lot. Regardless, when the attack went sour is when he may have decided to take her car. And it was subsequently found in the Raley's parking lot.
It's believed that he was made to this by his description and mannerisims, but without good confirmation of that, it could be questionable. Two attacks in one calendar day, and the fact that it may? have started outside in the parking lot are a lot to swallow.
