I'm reading through some paperwork and noticing quite a few descriptions of the Visalia ransacker...various hair colors, length of hair, etc.
The one that really caught my attention: two witnesses observe a suspicious subject on 9-6-75, WM. 25 yrs., 5' 7" to 5'8", 180 lbs., brown collar length hair wearing a dark green army cap. The guy has a beard. One of the witnesses later observed same subject at liquor store, this time without a beard. TTHe character was seen five days before Snelling's murder, one street over from Snelling's home.
If VR=EAR/ONS, then perhaps he had disguises as EAR as well.

Guy with a "beard that doesn't seem real". Wonder if it was the same beard your VR witness saw?

One of the stories that made the rounds in Stockton was that someone was hanging around Lincoln Center (our upscale shopping center) disguised as a female. Disguises would explain a lot of things about how EAR was able to move around so freely. And reinforce the theory that he wasn't just another street thug.

Sudden Terror has a victim who reported that the EAR had coarse hairs on his legs, as if recently shaved.
Found it, pg.208, 4/1/77. "hair on his legs against hers,coarse, like face wiskers"

Sudden Terror has a victim who reported that the EAR had coarse hairs on his legs, as if recently shaved. Found it, pg.208, 4/1/77. "hair on his legs against hers,coarse, like face wiskers" THIS is really weird. What/who are we looking at? Maybe we should be looking on swim teams or water-polo players? |

Or a clever guy who crossdressed to eyeball the patrons of the upscale shopping center. Or a latent homosexual who hadn't made up his mind to come out of the closet. And did so along about 1986 and is living with a gay partner somewhere completly off the radar. Only thing we know for sure, 50+ rapes, as many as 10 murders and no arrest.
