What would be wrong with using this message board, as an alternative to the aetv fiasco?
Several of us could try it out and see if it works okay. It's a non-threaded message board. But so is the one at aetv.
Do we need anyone's permission for using this message board?

No we don't need permission. Ithas remained an open board by JJ for years now. It has also been used as an alternative to the AE board many times! Lets just see what happens. If they find their way here then we will deal with it.

Here is my suggestion for next step.
Rather than starting new EAR/ONS topics here and inviting people over, I think there is a task that needs to be done first.
Make a list of posters you would like to invite to any new forum that's set up. Send a carefully worded message to said posters, via the "friends" list. Message would say something along the lines of ... "we are investigating new options for EAR/ONS discussions elsewhere. We would like you to join us. Could you send me your email address or some other way to correspond with you, so that in next few weeks we can invite you over." Something along that line. Don't mention the site here (jj's site). I don't think we're ready for that just yet. And we don't want jj's site to get back to Kev-the-bully. (You may, or may not, want to add in your message to said poster, for that poster to contact other posters he or she would like to invite over; use your own judgment on that).
If aetv discontinues the EAR/ONS board, then we will lose our ability to contact legit posters.
From time to time you might post some meaningless comment at aetv to give the impression that we are still using their EAR/ONS board. That will buy us some time.
I will continue to research alternate forum opportunities. Am also working on a list of ideas, questions, theories that can be put on the new forum so that when we are ready to invite people over, there will be plenty of EAR/ONS topics to discuss. You may also want to draw up a list of interesting topics.
But it's really critical to contact legit posters so that we can stay in touch.
From now on, let's use jj's message board here to communicate with each other, instead of PMs at aetv.

I just posted a response to guessting under the thread we were using yesterday and addressed some of those issues about losing the old posts over at a&e. I won't repeat it here. Now I have to go to work, so it turns out I have run out of time to read you post Drifter until tonight. In the mean time I want to call attention to Kev's post yesterday. He claims that he has been stalked and threatened by a poster he says goes by the name of 1inVentura, DonBeach, and philtaylorthegreatest. He claims this poster has put on the board the name of real policemen or detectives and that he is going to report this dangerous poster to LE and try to get the whole board shut down as we are a bunch of loose canons and dangerous nut jobs and we overstep our bounds by our arm chair detecting and are illegally posting real peoples names and investigating people while we have not been properly vetted by LE or undergone background checks and training etc. and he is going to try to get us to cease and desist or shut the board down. Could he actually be successful? If so, getting that information and switching over to here might be more urgent that we though. It has also occurred to me that Kev might be 1inVentura et al.

I just tried to post something to some posters who said they are just "gutted". When I went to post it the whoe thread was taken down and I lost my post. I am getting so frustrated with Rita and the bunch of trouble makers over there. I am hoping if we completely ignore Kev and cronies and don't even read their posts, they can't get under our skin and we can blythly go on our own way, they will get bored and leave and we won't have to leave. If people can't ignore, then we'll just have to leave. It is intollerable over there.

Sandia,
Iinventura was turned over to SCSD by me he was also stalking Larry Crompton and myself with all his POI declarations....Problem is his POI was in Japan for many of the crimes. Often people find it hard to believe what we have found out about a POI. But I guarantee we would be hitting the ceing with you if there was a match!!!

By the way he believed there were anagrams that confirmed it in Kev and a few others. One said "broken TV, he threatened to share all my Pm's. like I have something to hide!!

Well,I don't feel sorry for him if he threatened you. What was that all about? Also, he lied to me, he gave me a telephone number with a New York area code, yet Gasden said he have her a phone number with a Ventura area code. I didn't respond to him beyond saying I don't call people, just p.m. I'm so glad I didn't. We have to be careful when dealing with the topic of catching a serial killer.

Drifter, Please let me know what I can do to help. I really want to change to over here. I presently am so upset, I don't know what to do. Rita took down my third post titled "don't be gutted, take your power back and boycott part three" I asked Rita for an explanation for why my previous post was taken down. I encouraged metalhalide and Sammy to not feel "gutted" in their words and that I have taken my power back by not even reading the offending poster's posts. That way they can't get under my skin and tempt me to respond. I am treating them like they don't exist. I stated that they are absolutely gleeful in disrupting and upsetting us and all the attention they are getting and that their goal is to take over and shut us down. I suggested we just keep talking among ourselves and ignore them. I said TREAT THEM LIKE A COMPUTER VIRUS. Immediately Kev and company came on taunting etc. and Kev said, don't worry this post is going to go poof. And it did. Why would Rita take my post down? I am worried we won't even be able to private message other posters if a&e gets wind of our plans so maybe we should tell everybody right away. What do you all think?

Are there moderators for this forum?
That's what the AETV needs, it seems, is someone that's willing to take charge and suspend users.
I've looked at the boards/forums for the Zodiac Killer and they're more organized and wholly less tolerant of trolling. The organization is a huge benefit, IMO.

One thing you can do is to contact posters on your aetv "friends" list. Ask them to send you some way that you can contact them at later date so that we can invite them to new forum, if one is created. An e-mail address from said friend would be great.
The reason for this is that if aetv discontinues the EAR/ONS board, you or the rest of us here will have no way to contact legit aetv posters, without their e-mail address.
Do not mention this board (jj).

Hi, guys. I asked Drifter for an alternative to the aetv boards as sadly I was being dragged in to the garbage and useless discussion going on there.
Please can we use this as a better way forward to discuss the GSK, as you guys have some great insights, and like some of us do research.

It wasn't so much Kev, as Lepke that began to get to me. For all his cr@p, I agree with Kev about naming individuals on a public forum, but that is all I agreed with him on. Apart from that he was a truly obnoxious person.
